Another Editorial Cartoonist Loses Job This time it's Jake Fuller of the Gainesville Sun, who's been with the paper as a full-time staffer since 1997. It may or may not be worth pointing out that it seems like there's been a shift to where these positions are being eliminated as part of a general trend towards trimming newspaper staffs in a lot of departments, as opposed to initiatives that reflect a changing attitude towards the value of a staff cartoonist. I don't know if that applies here or not, but that's been my general impression.
