I wholeheartedly approve of the current generation of comics pros doing what they can to provide guidance, advice and a sense of the field to up and coming comics makers. The comics industry is less structured than ever before despite a weekly release mechanism for much of the material. Therefore the people that make comics have to rely on their choices and what they see around them the way other artists might rely on traditions and institutions. This works against that.
