* From recent rumor to linkable post: Fantagraphics will publish Garth Stein and Matthew Southworth's The Cloven Book One next year. Southworth is a favorite human being of every comics person who has ever lived in Seattle post-1990, myself included, and his work on Stumptown was super-attractive. I don' know a thing about Stein.

* there is a lengthy article here about John Jennings and Damian Duffy and each creator individually on occasion of their second adaptation of Octavia Butler's work, as they follow up Kindred with January 2020's Parable Of The Sower. Jennings in particular has a small army's worth of things going on.

* there will always be Star Wars comics.

* finally: here's a revived Michel Fiffe webcomics project due for print publication in 2020.
