Cagle Concerned By Orphan Works Bill

The prominent blogger and cartoonist
Daryl Cagle warns that the "Orphan Works Act of 2006" (HR 5439) is a bad deal for cartoonists. That bill allows companies to reprint "orphaned" art work via greatly weakened requirements regarding the search for that art's copyright holder and reduced fees for copyright infringement.
