Federal Charges Filed Against Planner Of Comic Book Theft That Ended In The Original Owner’s Death

An area newspaper report indicates that federal charges will be filed against Rico Vendetti, recently charged with the July 5 theft of a comic book collection from 77-year-old Homer Marciniak, a man that subsequently passed away after being beaten in the attack. The new charges are related to selling items from that collection on eBay. It's generally believed that Vendetti paid others to commit the burglary on his (and their) behalf, although officials expect to keep releasing details as they are uncovered in the legal process.
