Local San Diego media are all over the story that the Port Commission has approved a land deal that will allow plans to move forward for an expansion of San Diego's convention center, the current home of Comic-Con International. The expansion, which would happen by mid-decade, has been deemed necessary by its advocates in order to keep major shows like CCI.
