Go, Read: Ali Ferzat Profiled At The European Parliament Site

Although the Syrian cartoonist Ali Ferzat won the Sakharov Prize several weeks ago now, it looks like the European Parliament site just now put up their profile of the man and his work and why he shared in this year's honor. It's worth a read, if only for the reminder of what Ferzat went through earlier this year both in his advocacy for victims of repression in his country and in how he suffered physically for it. This news update at his web site notes that the cartoonist and gallery owner was named to a recent prominent list of influential world citizens.
