I blew that one off and generally considered it not worth a ton of attention -- I'm sure there were some smart people involved, and that there were some good elements to it, but it just seemed of a different time and place and thrust than anything in which I'm interested. But I do think there's something to be said for a criticism of work where you indict something by painting a different picture through omission than what we know to be true. It's something to be considered in terms of a wider industry dialogue about criticism and the comics-evangelism impulse.
