Indictments In Comic Book Robbery

According to regional media, six people were arraigned Tuesday in Orleans County court on charges related to the July 5 theft of a comic book collection owned by Homer Marciniak. Eight people were indicted, with two yet to be picked up. Alleged mastermind Rico Vendetti, who is under federal investigation for the conspiratorial nature of the crime and the way the material was allegedly sold on eBay, was among those arraigned.

Marciniak was assaulted when he confronted the burglars in his home, and died of a heart attack later that day. The elderly victim had a pre-existing heart condition, which has thus far impeded more severe charges.
