Kevin Cannon Named Minneapolis’ Best Cartoonist

The Twin Cities-oriented City Pages resource makes it official: Kevin Cannon is Minneapolis' best cartoonist. This is quite the achievement in a city where it's not even guaranteed Kevin will win the "Best Cartoonist With The Last Name Of Cannon" in any given year. I like Cannon quite a bit, and I tease only because the article mentions among his recent work a new mini-comic I have not seen. Our congratulations to the versatile Far Arden cartoonist on the honor -- there's a lot to be said for a cartoonist developing a strong local identity, and I think that it may be even more important as some of the national arts industry infrastructure continues to break down/transform itself.
