Lulu Awards to NYC, Gains Sponsors The Lulu Awards, a program devoted to the contribution of women in comics organized by the advocacy group Friends of Lulu, will move from its traditional Comic-Con International weekend gathering to New York and the MoCCA Festival in 2008. It does so with the help of new, major sponsors. That makes this year's ceremony the evening of June 7. The sponsors are IDW, DC Comics and Archie Comics. I hope this means they'll finally give one of those career contribution awards to Francoise Mouly.
