Mack White Book For Young Readers Receives Will Rogers Award
I completely missed this, but apparently the Mack White-illustrated Texas Tales Illustrated: The Revolutionwon the Will Rogers Medallion for Outstanding Merit/Excellence in Printing and Publication. White worked on that book with author Mike Kearby, and it is I understand it a graphic novel rather than an illustrated work of prose. I greatly White's work, so I'm happy to hear that he received this acknowledgment. I'm even happier to hear there's a lengthy work drawn by White available for young readers. That has to be fun.
It looks like the award was announced in early July and given out later that month. The publisher was TCU Press.
