Michael George Bond Hearing Set For Tuesday By Presiding Judge

The prominent Pennsylvania retailer and convention organizer Michael George, whose conviction on various crimes surrounding the slaying of his then-wife Barbara in Michigan in 1990 at their comic book store was overturned in a surprise decision one week ago,
will learn Tuesday if he will be allowed to go free pending his new trial, starting in December. George was convicted in March and sentenced to life in prison in June, but the presiding Judge set aside the decision due to his appraisal that evidence the prosecution new about that was not presented would have had an impact on him had he been deciding rather than a jury.
