Michael George Released On Bond Pending February 26 Murder Trial

The Pennsylvania comic shop owner and convention organizer Michael George
has been released on a $1 million bond pending his trial February 26 on charges including murder related to the 1990s slaying of George's then-wife Barbara in his Detroit-area comic book store. George is under house arrest at his mother's residence, surrendered his passport and is wearing an electronic tether. He face life in prison if convicted. That George has secured released to his mother's home could be seen as a preview of the expected in-court battle between George's lawyers and the current prosecutors trying the case, which local media earlier tried to portray as something of a heated, antagonistic relationship above and beyond the particulars of this case.
