Mike Peters Wins Editorial Cartooning Category At National Headliner Awards



Esteemed editorial cartoon and comic strip veteran Mike Peters won the editorial cartooning category in this year's National Headliners Awards. The other finalists were Mike Luckovich (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) placing second and Michael Ramirez (Investor's Business Daily) coming in at third.

Peters is distributed by King Features Syndicate, for whom he does the Mother Goose and Grimm strip. His home base newspaper is the Dayton Daily News, and I believe he splits time between Dayton and a warmer second home.

The win was announced Friday by the award's sponsor: The Press Club of Atlantic City, New Jersey. A full list of of winners can be seen here.
