Missed It: An Interview With Archaia’s Jack Cummins

I received a couple of e-mails asking me to reconsider Kiel Phegley's recent interview with Archaia's Jack Cummins -- I'm not exactly sure why, although my guess is that someone else made a slightly bigger deal of this piece earlier this week than a simple link, which got some folks thinking. It's worth a look if you're interested in that segment of the marketplace, although a lot of what's reported -- Archaia had a difficult time during a recent distribution-deal switch -- doesn't really surprise me. Making that kind of transition does cost a publisher, and probably should as it's a major thing. The digital sections are intriguing, too, if only for their matter-of-fact discussion of that being an overall benefit to the company.
