Missed It: Marvel And Scans Daily

So apparently Marvel
took action last week against the host of
Scans Daily for that web community's posting of material Marvel believes infringes their copyrights. In response,
Scans Daily may take themselves into membership-only status, which they believe solves the problem of essentially re-publishing material on a free, public platform. I'm reluctant to play make-believe law expert, and I would imagine that what the company making such a move can actually press through legal maneuvers is more important than Internet podium thumping on same. My basic extra-legal take on such matters remains unchanged: that no one has the right to usurp the wishes of creators on how their work is disseminated, and in the light of the options open to creators today this extends to those that cede that control to corporations. An appetite is not a moral imperative.
I'm also slightly confused as to
what Mr. Monster is doing in a Marvel comic book.
