Musa Kart Cat Decision Overturned

The Supreme Court of Appeals in Ankara, Turkey
has overturned a decision regarding the cartoonist Musa Kart and rejected the notion he needed to pay compensation for depicting Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as an animal, specifically a cat. The fine had been about $3,700 in USD. The cartoon was published by
Cumhuriyet. Erdogan had recently renewed his efforts to fight various unflattering depictions of him through legal channels.
