Objections Surface To Doonesbury Joke About Tight Sweaters

I'm not sure that I have anything to add to this one. On the one hand, it seems to me a not very good joke. On the other, it's kind of refreshing for someone to call out the issues of sexuality that are on the table in cases like this one. One thing about Doonesbury I've always found interesting is that my personal taste is not for Garry Trudeau's jokes that come directly from the mouths of celebrities and politicians, preferring to much greater extent those that are filtered through Trudeau's amazing cast of original characters. When I stop to think about it, the current weirdness of the American political process may be one of the few cultural developments in the last 40 years that doesn't bring to mind a few obvious character representatives from the Doonesbury roster.
