Outcault, Wheeler-Nicholson To Eisner Hall of Fame; Votable Nominees Up




In a press release sent out last Friday, the Eisner Awards announced that its nominating judges have selected RF Outcault (The Yellow Kid, Buster Brown) and Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (founder of DC Comics, publisher of New Fun #1) to the Will Eisner Industry Awards Hall of Fame.

They've also prepared a list of nominees for the Hall of Fame voting, which eligible voters can do through this web site.

Those nominees are Matt Baker, John Broome, Reed Crandall, Rudolph Dirks, Arnold Drake, George Evans, Creig Flessel, Graham Ingels, Mort Meskin, Tarpe Mills, Gilbert Shelton, George Tuska, Mort Weisinger, Len Wein, and Barry Windsor-Smith.

The 2008 Eisner Awards judges are John Davis, Paul DiFilippo, Atom! Freeman, Jeff Jensen, and Eva Volin.
