* Andrew Yates talks to Gilbert Hernandez.

* Mark Evanier remembers the actor Abe Vigoda, including the nugget that Vigoda's brother worked as a cartoonist for decades. Here's a great photo of Vigoda with the sometimes comics podcaster Gil Roth at 2014's Jewish Comedians show at Society Of Illustrators.

* finally, one sub-cultural element that used to be a big part of comics that isn't anymore is The Elaborate HQ. The Matt Fraction-era X-Men blew through two potential all-timer home bases without even a map, I don't think.
