* Sean Gaffney on Total Eclipse Of The Eternal Heart.

* two Mat Brinkman works return to print. This is one of those stories that I read and didn't process correctly, but who cares! Such good news. Brinkman is a really interesting cartoonists and I want that work as widely available as possible.

* Ellen Vartanoff, RIP.

* go, read: Rob Rogers on the road.

* go, look: Ghost Hog previewed at Paste.

* I could not be more delighted by the recent spate of Mort Gerberg articles. I've loved learning about five or six super-prolific gag-type cartoonists over the last several years. Every time you think you knew all the comics-makers, you find out you don't.

* finally: I like the idea of cartoonists doing midnight signings, doubly so not related to a big-company "event" of dubious specialness.
