Random Comics News Story Round-Up

* question every Easter: how odd is the BC Sunday? Not very this year, although that was to my family's eyes a rough solution to the two formats issue, just blocks of color. I found Glenn McCoy's a little odd in that Jesus left a need for room service. I imagine there are a ton of more overtly Easter-themed strips than there used to be.

* Lan Pitts talks to Chris Samnee.

* this was sort of cute, I guess.

* Marvel editorial institution Tom Brevoort asked for great single comic book issues and got a flood of quality choices, mostly from the mainstream comics world. That Superman's birthday annual that Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons did is a really fun one-off with a lot of Silver Age style. The most popular comic book on my coffee table for three years was Yummy Fur #24.

* finally: Steve Lieber writes about basic convention organization from a working pro point of view.
