The best place to wrap your brain around what's happened with the Wizard shows generally and what may be happening with Chicago in particular is Todd Allen's much-discussed piece comparing past exhibitor lists to this one. What's revealed is brutal, and there's only so much spin you can put on it. In fact, what the 2009 exhibitor list most resembles is the last convention before Wizard took over.
