Retailers Debate Superhero Content

The Buddy Saunders piece I pulled out of ICv2.com yesterday seems to be part of a minor brush ware among various retailers about the nature of today's superhero market. Steve Bennett seems to have been the one to start things rolling; in this piece he talks about something I'd never thought about before, that the sprawling, serial nature of superhero funnybooks starting in the 1970s forced a shift in emphasis on the villainous threats facing the various heroes.
