Twin Business Stories at ActuaBD.com

There are two broad comics business articles at the mainstream of European comics focused site ActuaBD.com that are in some ways more "here's a story" than "here: a story" pieces, but are interesting to note, nonetheless. The first is
a piece about the Groupe La Martiniere's comics holdings and their current relationship with and relative levels of enthusiasm for those individual companies;
the second is a piece about Fabrice Giger being brought in to Humanoides Associes and their selling off some assets, some for cash, some back to their creators, I suppose when there isn't a whole lot of cash to be had.
As usual, even my brief descriptions suffer from a limited skill with French much more suited to asking for the location of the library or declaring my name, so be careful. I'm sure even a complete reading of these pieces are going to miss out on much-needed context when coming to grips with what they imply, but I think it's worth knowing about the kind of issues that European publishers face right now after several years of swelled returns.
