Une Jeunesse Sovietique to Soft Skull Here's a bit of off-beat publishing news I haven't seen out there yet a reader sent in: the Nikolai Maslov graphic novel Une Jeunesse Sovietique will have an English-language version released by Soft Skull Press as Siberia. Une Jeunesse Sovietique was a well-received first person account of life in the late Soviet Union by an author who supposedly had never such a comic before. The story of the book's discovery can be found here, and is up there with Confederacy of Dunces in terms of a publication legend that matches the feel and thrust of the work.
