Vittorio Vighi, 1927-2008

imageAlthough it's slightly unclear if it took place in late January, early February or even a year ago, Gianfranco Goria at afNews informs that the cartoonist turned successful Italian cinema screenwriter Vittorio Vighi passed away. This piece notes that Vighi was a cartoonist for the satirical newspaper Marc'Aurelio in the early 1950s, but then moved full time into film when the newspaper closed. That same article also mentions cartoons done under the name "Cip e Ciop" for Topolino in the early 1960s, and contains some really cool cartoon art cited as being done in his retirement.
