Your 2009 Grand Prix RTL Winner

image

Camille Jourdy has won the Grand Prix RTL 2009 for her trilogy Rosalie Blum, published by Actes Sud. One of several prizes announced in the ramp-up to the Angouleme Festival, the Grand Prix RTL is noteworthy because it comes with a campaign on behalf of the prize winner on the radio network sponsoring it. I guess the equivalent might be if Westwood One announced a comics award in mid-June.

Past winners included Christophe Chabouté for Henri Désiré Landru and Christian Lax for L'Aigle sans orteils. To be honest, I see some people list the winner as the book as some as the author, so I'm not exactly sure which is which.

The award was given out Sunday evening.
