Your Danish Cartoons Hangover Update

* federal prosecutors released a tape that apparently contains a conversation between Mickey Mouse Plot defendants Tahawwur Rana and David Coleman. That conversation as reported would seem to indicated both men had knowledge of the 2008 attacks in Mumbai before they happened. This was released in order to counter an effort to get Rana released, an ongoing campaign based in large part on depicting Rana as the more innocent partner in the various international maneuvers of which the pair is accused, including a plot to kill Kurt Westergaard and Flemming Rose because of the 2005 Danish Cartoons. * Sudan's president apparently declined to participate in this month's climate summit in Copenhagen because of the lingering offense of the Danish Cartoons; this article points out that it may also have something to do with a threat of arrest on international soil.
